Panama City Beach 2010

We went on vacation a little earlier than usual this year since I am pregnant! Allie Kaye isn't due until October...however she will be here sooner than that....but we normally wait until August for lower prices and less crowds!! We went to PCB since there was a threat of oil in Gulf Shores and I don't know if we will go back! We loved Panama City, it had been about 7 years since we had been there, and Pier Park was our favorite spot!



Dinner at Guy Harvey's restaurant and the rides at Pier Park was Lauren's favorite part of the whole trip!

Zoo trip!

GiGi, Lauren and I went to the Zoo with some friends....on a VERY HOT DAY!!! We had a god time, despite the heat! Lauren loved feeding the birds, but she didn't want them too close to her! GiGi didn't really care for them either, but she was a trooper too!!

Lauren and I went to Botanical Gardens to take some pictures of a friend of mine, Karen's little boy for his first birthday! I only intended on taking pics for Karen, but as you can see, I went all out with Lauren, too!! She is such an accessible subject, and does pretty well I think! I love these pictures, and this is my favorite consignment sale find, her mermaid dress!!

Sounds of Sumatanga 2010

For the past 2 or 3 years, the group my dad sings with at our church has been participating in an event at Camp Sumatanga! This place is very special to our family, we have many memories of Family Life Retreats, summer camps and now, Sounds of Sumatanga! Lauren loves to go because there is plenty of food, fun and room to play with her friends!

Easter 2010

These pictures are from the Easter egg hunt at church! And in case you are wondering, that is a chicken on Brother Al's head and a bunny in this lap!! Lauren wouldn't get near the chicken, but she really wanted to hold the bunny!!


And our family tradition is to have lunch at Granny's house after church on Easter Sunday! We finally have kids young enough to carry on the tradition of hunting eggs in the back yard! It was fun as a kid, but it is even more fun to hide them and watch our kids find them!!

Trip to Mississippi

We took a trip in March to Mississippi to visit with Mammaw, Big Daddy, Aunt Wendy and Uncle Mark! While we were there, we had a "girls day" and went shopping and to the Museum of Natural Science! Lauren and Aunt Wendy had the best time as you can see, they always have a great time together!!

NEED TO CATCH UP!!!

Ok, well I have been a total slacker lately when it comes to this blog, but I am going to get better....I hope! I don't know though, things are about to get pretty busy around the Davis household! Miss Allie Kaye will be here soon and I don't know what kind of time I am going to have to update so I better get caught up now! I will start off by saying we moved in our new house in February....AFTER I found out I was pregnant! We love our new house and our wonderful neighbors! Most of all I think we love that we are so much closer to everyone now, including my family and church! These pictures are the last ones taken in our house in Warrior, Lauren is quite the helper and she was helping her daddy take down the handrail on the stairs so the movers could get our furniture downstairs!!

And these are from one of the last times we went to the park in Gardendale before we moved! She loves that place, especially in the summer when the Splash Pad is open!!

The makeover

I somehow missed these pictures, and I can't believe it because they are PRICELESS!! This is the "makeover," AKA jewelry box, Jimbo bought her for Christmas!! She LOVES this thing! We play with it all the time and she loves to put ALL the jewelry on at one time, we are going to have our hands full one day...oh wait, we already do!! This little mess is such a joy, I just can't believe how much she has grown up!

Our new house!!

I am so hesitant to post pictures of our new house, I don't want to "jinx" anything! We are scheduled to close on our current house on January 28th and we have to be out by Feb. 1st! I am not sure when we will close on the new house because apparently it takes about 30 days on our loan/mortgage to be approved, and they just received it on Jan 14th....SO, we will be living with GiGi and Gran Gran for a little while! Gran Gran is thrilled, I think GiGi is good with it and I don't know how Jimbo feels about it! Hopefully there won't be any issues with all of us having to get up early for work/school! We are super excited about being closer to family, church and friends!! I can't wait to be back "home!" I guess I can post a picture of the outside, I will just pray things go as planned!! We should be in our new house by the end of February!

Snow Day/ BCS National Championship Game!!!

These are some of the pictures I took yesterday during the snow! We had a dusting and our driveway still has ice and snow at the end of it! Lauren wanted so badly to make a snowman and have "snow fights!" Oh well, maybe next time!

Then there was the big game! What a night, it was quite a rollercoaster! But in the end, THE University of Alabama pulled it out! It was a great game, but I felt so bad for Colt McCoy! He is a very classy guy and he has a bright future ahead of him, I just hate his last college game turned out that way! ROLL TIDE!!!!!
